Something New

I have been blogging for the last 2 months on this blog, the longest I have ever constantly blogged. Although it has been a good challenge for my writing I found that a lot of the time I would put it off until last minute.

I have decided that I am going to try my hand at another blog. This time with less rules in the hopes that the quality will heighten.

I say good bye to this blog and let it join my other attempts.

Thanks to those who read 21 Days In... if that is anyone...

Have a fantastic February!

Day 15: The Hero I Am (not)

The name Haliee means Hero.

When we think hero we think of Superman, Wonderwoman, Batman, Captain America or Catwomen.

Dictionary.com states that a hero is a person, typically a man, who is admired or idealized for, courage, outstanding achievements or noble qualities.

From a very young age I would associate myself with a hero.
I was a hero! Maybe not one in spandex and a cape but a hero none the less!

Recently I have been feeling like less then the hero I long to be.

Maybe heros have their bad days.
Bad weeks.
Bad months
Where they cannot fly.
Where instead of saving people they need to save themselves.

Day 14: Lychee

Kiersti, a friend that lives down the hall walked into my dorm room tonight with Lychee Juice in hand.  The last time I had tasted a lychee was over 10 years ago in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. I was with my family on Grandville Island.  It was the end of the day and we were walking back to the car.  A venture gave us a Lychee gave me one, trying to get us to buy some.

The taste of the Lychee brought me back to my childhood when my family would travel cross country in the summers.

It is crazy how much we associate specific tastes and smells with memories.

Day 11: Running

Something is coming.

I know it is...

What? I can not be sure

But I am running,

searching, wondering, asking, wishing, dreaming,

and running.
